No fish to be taken from any of The Earl of Harrington's waters.

Name of Club and Situation of Headquarters and Office.

1.  This Club shall be called The Earl Of Harrington's Angling Club

Objects and Funds of the Club.

2.  The object for which this Club is established is the promotion of the pursuit of Angling. It may effect this by (1) giving prizes for competitions amongest its members and  (2) protecting to its utmost all legal and lawful ways of fishing. No surplus funds shall be divisible amongst the members. All monies recieved on account of subscriptions, donations, fines or otherwise, shall be applied to carrying the objects of the Club according to the rules thereof. Any officer misapplying the funds shall repay the same and be excluded without prejudice to his liability to prosecution for such misapplication.

Place of Meeting and Form of Membership .

3. The Club shall hold 6 meetings at Derby, or other approved place, when required notice of which will be forwarded to Committee. The Committee shall have power to expel any member transgressing the Rules of the Club.

Annual Meeting and Appointment of Officers.

4.  The Annual General Meeting shall be held on the last Thursday in April, at which the General Statement of Accounts for the last year ending March 31st shall be submitted and the President, Vice President and the Committee of Management for the year be appointed. The Committee of management to consist of Chairman, two Vice Chairmen and eight Committee members. One third i.e three members of the Committee to offer themselves for reelectioneach year.Auditors to be appointed annually by the Committee. The Chairman and Vice Chairman to be elected by the Committee  at its first meeting following the AGM. any motions for the AGM must be in writing and in the secretary's hands 14 days prior to the meeting.

Powers and Duties of Committee and Management.

5.  The Committee of Management shall meet from time to time as necessity requires. Any three of The Committee of Management duly assembled at any such meeting shall be a quorum and shall have full power of superintend and conduct  all business of this Club according to the rules provided for the goverment therof, and shall be in all things act for and in the name of the Club, and all acts and orders under the powers delegated to them shall have the like force and effect as the acts and orders of this Club at any General Meeting. Every question at such meeting shall be decided by a majority of votes, and if the votes are equal , the Chairman shall have the casting vote.Any three of the Committee of Management may call a Special Meeting  thereof by giving seven clear days notice in writing to the Secretary, but at such Special Meeting no other business than that specified in the notice shall be taken into concideration. The Committee of management shall convene all the meetings of the Club on such requistions as are herein mentioned

Duties of Secretary.

6.  The secretary shall give his attendance at all meetings of this Club; he shall record correctly the names of the members of The Committee of management  there present and the minutesof their proceedings which he shall transcribe into a book to be authenticated by the signiture of the Chairman at the following meeting; he shallrecieve demands for allowances of every discription granted by the Rules;

Members Changing their Addresses.

7.  Members are required to give their correct address to the secretary and to notify him of any change of same within one month.

Members Producing their Tickets.

8.  Any member shall produce his ticket when requested by another member, or by any person lawfully authorised. Any refusal to comply with this Rule is to be reported to the Committee. A member demanding another member's ticket must produce his own, if asked.

Concession to Old Members.

9.  Any member when reaching the age of 65 years may apply for a combined Trout and courseseason ticket or a Derwent Valley Fishery Combined Ticket at a concessionary rate. The price of these tickets will be determined by The earl of Harrington's Angling club Committee on an annual basis. These tickets will be granted on application to the Secretary. A maximum of 250 will be available.

Concession to Juniors.

9a  Boys and Girls between the ages of 8 to 16 years can on application to a Tackle Dealer purchase a combined Trout and course ticket at a concessionary rate. The price of these tickets will be determined by The Earl of Harrington's Angling Club Committee on an annual basis. The Junior Angler (s) must at all times be accompanied by a responsible adult wherever they are on The earl of Harrington's Angling club waters.

PLEASE NOTE: Juniors up to the age of 16 years can fish Derwent valley fisherys if accompanied and supervised by an adult, holding a current Earl of Harrington Season Ticket. A maximum of two juniors per adult.

Unlawful means of Fishing.

10.  Any member having permission to fish in the Club's water and using unlawful means shall be expelled from the Club. No member to use more than one rod and line.

Serious Offences.

11. Any member responsible for leaving litter, leaving gates open, breaking fences, insulting any member, keeper, or proprietor of land shall be liable to expulsion. Any member found fishing in any water controled by a member club of The Derby Joint Anglers Council without  holdingthe necessary permit or licience shall be liable to expulsion from The Earl of harrington's Angling club.

Misconduct of Members.

12. Any member whilst on the river bank, using obscene language, insulting behaviour to the general public, or otherwisemisconduction himself shall be immediately expelled.

Conditions of Match Fishing.

13.  All matches to be fished under the current N.F.A. rules

No Wading Allowed

Guns.

14.  No member or his friends shall be allowed to carry a gun: for this offence he shall be immediately expelled.

Disputes.

15.  If any dispute shall arise between a member or person claiming through a member, or under the rules of the club and the club or any officer thereof, it shall be refered to the Committee of Management at the next meeting.

Fish.

16.  No member shall under any circumstances whatsoever remove fish from the waters.

17.  All fish to be returned to the water.
